Mountaineer Release 4.2 QFE1

Note: This is the original firmware version as it comes preinstalled on a new board. There exists newer firmware, see here.

You need to install Visual Studio, the .NET Micro Framework SDK, the Gadgeteer Core, and the Mountaineer SDK. To do this, please follow the instructions in this guide:

Getting Started with Mountaineer

Mountaineer boards are shipped with NETMF 4.2 QFE1 preinstalled. If you want to work with this firmware, you don't need any of the files provided below - the firmware is already in the microcontroller's Flash memory.

However, if for some reason the original firmware has been erased, or you want to revert from a newer firmware release to the original one, then you need to download and install these files (pick the one appropriate for you mainboard, either the USB or the Ethernet variant). For your convenience, the corresponding USB drivers are also included in these archives:
