Both software and hardware of the Mountaineer Platform are 100% open source.
Open Source Software License
The software NETMF for STM32 is licensed under the Apache 2.0 license:
Open Source Hardware License
The Mountaineer hardware designs are licensed under the cc-by-sa license:
Hardware License (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License)
You must not use the string "Mountaineer" as part of your product name, and it must not appear on the silk screen of your own boards that are based on a Mountaineer design. The same holds for the Mountaineer logo.
You must provide a Web page with access to documentation of a design that you derived from a Mountaineer design. In this documentation, attribution to the Mountaineer Group and a link to www.mountaineer.org must be provided, without implying that Mountaineer is your trademark or that your design has been endorsed by the Mountaineer Group in some way.
